Policies
Please read through my policies before booking.
-
Please see my pricing guide and enter your chosen coupon code when booking. If you do not enter a code, you will be charged the default Patron pricing category.
-
A credit card is required to reserve an appointment. This helps protect me against no-shows and the creeps. You may prepay your appointment, but are not required to do so. Payments made at the time of service can be made with cash, the card on file, or I can swipe a different card. Tips are never expected (more on that on the pricing guide page), but cash tips are always appreciated.
-
Please cancel with at least 24 hours notice so there is time to fill that space with another appointment. Illness and emergencies happen, but please contact me ASAP if you realize you cannot make your appointment. No-shows and cancelations less than 24 hours before the appointment time will be handled with grace but are subject to an automatic charge of 50% of the cost of the service booked. By booking, you have reserved my professional time, and I am at work waiting for you.
-
Please arrive on time. Lateness will be handled with grace, but you reserve the time you schedule. Late arrivals will receive the time remaining in their service, charged at the price for the time which was booked.
-
Please reschedule if you are feeling unwell or have been closely exposed to a communicable illness such as Covid, cold, or flu. By working very closely with people, I must prioritize the health and safety of myself, my practice, and my other clients. There will never be a cancelation charge or fee for illness (though I do still appreciate 24 hours or as much notice as possible).
-
In return, I promise to value your time and reliably be here for you, excepting emergencies and illness, with as much advance notice as I can provide and an opportunity to reschedule ASAP.
-
If you wish to book an appointment as a gift or surprise for a loved one, please utilize an online gift certificate or work with them to book, as the recipient needs to be the one to fill out their intake form and sign a consent to treatment, for both their privacy, and for clarity and liability for me. The name, documentation, and information I receive for the appointment must match the person coming in for treatment.
-
Current Covid precautions do not require you to wear a mask, though I may choose to do so. I utilize an air purifier in my treatment room, change linens with each session, sanitize surfaces, and generally maintain a high standard of cleanliness. I am and stay current on vaccinations and boosters for Covid and flu.
-
I am not a medical doctor and do not diagnose illness, though I am happy to work with other healthcare professionals for your treatment goals. I will not share any medical information without your written consent and I use secure software to maintain client records. If you have a condition which lies outside of my scope of practice, I will refer you to an appropriate medical professional. I do not perform chiropractic adjustments. It is your responsibility to provide me with accurate information as to your medical concerns so I may provide you with the most effective and safest service.
-
I fully adhere to the code of ethics outlined by ABMP (Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals).
-
You have the right to stop a session or decline consent for treatment services at any time. Your comfort is paramount. Please let me know if I can make any adjustments to improve your comfort (pressure, temperature, music, etc).
-
Conversely, I reserve the right to stop a session at any time and charge the amount for the time booked. Massage is a healthcare profession, and my professional time should be treated as such. Touch is a human need, and if you are unable to parse the difference between therapeutic and sexual touch, please work on that with a mental healthcare professional before booking with me or any other massage therapist. I have a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate comments or behavior. Any crossing of my personal or professional boundaries will be considered a threat to my safety and treated as such.

Gift Certificate Info
Online gift certificates are available through the booking link. Click on "Products/Packages" for purchasing. You can either enter the recipient's info directly and they will instantly receive an email with a prepaid code that they can use to book, or you can enter your own info to receive the email that you can forward or choose to print as appropriate (better if you want to time a surprise, or give it at a time other than when you purchase). They can then use the code you give them to book their own appointment at their leisure. You may use a coupon code to purchase a gift, but the recipient will need to use the same code when booking for the price to match, so I ask that you consider where both you (the purchaser) and the recipient are aligned financially, and if you fall into different positions on the sliding scale, please purchase at the higher of the two. I think this seems fair and I hope you do, too. There is not an option to add a tip when purchasing a gift, but the recipient will have that opportunity when booking and/or completing payment. I believe this is less-than-ideal, but it is what I have to work with with the system I use, and I offer this info solely for clarity. Thank you for considering massage as a gift (I think it makes a great one ;)). I will take great care of your loved one.
